Welcoming our Past and Presents Student Associations

Clive Grosset (Gone but will never be forgotten.)

It's okay for us to cry for someone who had great impact on all of us lives one way or another. I remember Mr. Grosset as a person who was very jovial, out spoken and loving. He was a real people person. Isn't he?

Its really sad to know That a good guy like Mr Grosset was taken away from us before his time, he had an impact on by life also and many others in the grudation Class of 1983. He has been at Oberlin for a really, really long time I am sure he is greatly missed by every student and teachers alike Hand up for teacher Grosset.

Heart-rending. I just saw it and am deeply saddened. He was a very stern but good teacher. We had to get the notes right or we don't move on. He got a little older but he had the same features and way back in those days.

Idont know about quiet. The first time I saw Mr Grossett, he was standing by the music room with his back to the metal work and art and craft block calling to noisy students down by the lower school who disturbing his music class. Then he was just a little "Mawga Man " who drives a little "Angler" motor car ( light blue with a white stripe on each side). He was my form teacher in grade 9 (1982 - 1983). Every morning he spent a good half hour lecturing us about life (etiquette, how to treat ladies, How ladies should behave, etc.). it was then that I saw this man for who he really was. A giant , fearless, full of wisdom spending the time to listen to students, and giving excellent advice. I am a better person because of him. One morning he recited the desi derata this piece took a hold on me and change me "You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should". May God bless his family and may light perpetual shine on him"
